Information and Communication Technology

Information and Communication Technology provide training in everything from how to turn your computer on through to a three year integrated degree program in partnership with Charles Sturt University available at both the Albury and Wagga Wagga campuses.

Staff are highly skilled in their areas of specialisation and are well respected by industry for maintaining up-to-date expertise and knowledge and passing this on to their students. Albury Campus is a qualified CISCO Training Academy and prepares students for their CCNA examination.

Training in all aspects of computer and information communication technology can be customised to a workplace environment, can be provided full time at a campus, part time at a campus, in the workplace, flexibly, online or a combination of these.

Wide range of needs met

Beginners through to intermediate users are catered for at all campuses across the Institute in areas of general computing study and specialist areas in software applications, web design, web management, programming, systems analysis and design, help desk support. The Albury and Wagga Wagga campuses offer these areas of expertise to a higher skill level plus Network Engineering, Website Design, Development and Administration and Digital (Multi) Media to Diploma level. Other areas of specialisation are digital photography, digital image manipulation, video capture and editing, programming, design and publication of printed and digital media. Both the Network Engineering and the Digital Media diplomas can, with one more year of study at Charles Sturt University, lead to a Bachelor qualification.

All Information Technology programs equip students with knowledge, practical skills and the ability to adapt and learn in the constantly changing ICT environment.

Pathways to further study

Students taking advantage of the combined Diploma/Degree arrangement with Charles Sturt University graduate with both a TAFE Diploma in Information Technology (Networking) (ICA50405) and a Bachelor of Information Technology from CSU.
