Lake Cargelligo

TAFE training in your local area

Located 590 km west of Sydney via the Great Western and Mid Western Highways and 168m above sea-level Lake Cargelligo appears like an unexpected oasis on the flat western plains. Certainly John Oxley was “agreeably surprised' when he came across it in 1817 while tracing the Lachlan River: 'the noble lake before me gave a character to the scenery highly picturesque and pleasing'. It is also birth place of" Murrin Bridge Wines" Australia's first Aboriginal owned & produced wine.

Lake Cargelligo is a diverse rural community approximately 135 Kms from Griffith. Courses are offered based on community demand and need and vary from semester to semester. Lake Cargelligo campus is a homely, welcoming campus where our staff are willing to be flexible to meet enterprise and individual education and training needs.

In 2008 the campus is offering and running the Certificate III Fabrication/Welding (Trade) program as a result of employer need and requests. The campus also offers a range of short courses such as Senior First Aid, Chainsaw Operations, Responsible Service of Alcohol, Reasponsible Conduct of Gambling and OH&S programs to meet industry and individual needs.

Please call in and speak with our staff and you will be amazed at what we can do for you.
