Certificate IV in Agriculture (RTE40103)
Advanced DIploma in Agriculture (RTE60103)
Diploma in Horticulture (RT50103)
Diploma in Agriculture (RTE50103)
This is a course for people who wish to be trained for employment as a farm manager, or in the rural service or regulatory industries. This is a registered course for international students to study in Australia.
There are a wide range of elective options for farming, pasture & grain production (including plant nutrition, weed and pest control, and grain storage), sheep and cattle production (including nutrition, health, breeding), as well as business management topics such as marketing, business planning, property planning, sustainable land use, budgeting, climate risk management, and staff management.
Students have the choice of full-time study (4 days a week), flexible distance study through mail-out packages, or part-time attendance at PIC.
If you are already employed in this sector, you may be able to obtain recognition for your current skills and knowledge. Diploma graduates from the Primary Industries Centre may be able to gain entry to university agricultural degrees and gain credit for related subjects.

Certificate IV in Agriculture (RTE40103)
This is a course for people who wish to be trained for employment as a farm overseer, or in the rural service industry. This course is available for people to enrol in as part of a rural traineeship. This is a registered course for international students to study in Australia.
There are a wide range of elective options for farming, pasture & grain production (including plant nutrition, weed and pest control, and grain storage), sheep and cattle production (including nutrition, wool production, and pasture management), as well as business topics such as record keeping, budgeting, staff supervision, and customer relations.
Students have the choice of full-time study (4 days a week), flexible distance study through mail-out packages, or part-time attendance at PIC.
If you are already employed in this sector, you may be able to obtain recognition for your current skills and knowledge.

Advanced Diploma in Agriculture (RTE60103)
This is a course for people who wish to be trained for employment as a farm business manager.
There are a range of elective options for business management such as international and domestic marketing, business planning and performance analysis, risk management, strategic planning, and staff and industry leadership.
Students study by flexible distance mode through mail-out packages. Recognition of current competency and previous training is a major contributor to completion of this course.

Diploma Horticulture (RTF50103)
This course is for people seeking the skills and knowledge to work independently, or at a supervisory or managerial level, or to operate a business in the amenity horticulture industry. It focuses on advanced technical, managerial and business skills as well as the underpinning knowledge required to apply these skills in the workplace. This course will enable you to gain a qualification in general horticulture while at the same time giving you the opportunity to undertake a range of specialist studies in different amenity horticulture industry sectors including parks and gardens, landscape, turf, floriculture, arboriculture, and retail and wholesale nursery. This course is particularly suited to skilled horticultural tradespeople who want to enhance their skills and knowledge for career advancement to managerial positions. This course is under review and may be replaced.
