ABOUT YOUNG CAMPUS

Considered the “Cherry Capital of Australia”, Young was initially founded as a mining town "Lambing Flat", a town rich in history and a great sightseeing destination for those interested in our pioneering legends, bushrangers and country living. A prime cherry-growing area, the season running from November to December - you can even pick your own! Join in the activities of the annual Cherry Festival commencing the last weekend in November.

The industry base of Young and district is very diversified. It includes engineering and aged care services as well as sheep, cattle and crop farming, poultry, pig and fruit production, the Young Campus has developed very strong links with industry in the area and provides a range of customised training programs in this area.. Young Campus has a shared site with the Department of School Education, High School, and shares some courses, facilities and staff e.g. Library.

It also offers courses in Transport, Engineering, Electrical Trades, Information Technology, Administration Services, Welfare, General Education and Aged Care.
