Train My People

Research shows that change is having a significant impact on the workplace. Technology means things can be done faster, sooner, and more competitively. It’s no longer just the other business down the road that you’re competing against...depending on what business you’re in, your competition could be in another town, another state or another country.

More than ever you need quality staff - people who can respond to change, work in teams, adapt to competing demands and not only know what good customer service is but perform it! Then there are the specific skills you need in your particular business.

Where to start?

Sometimes you just can’t put your finger on the skills your staff need to do their jobs better. Riverina Institute can carry out a skills assessment to assist you to position your business where you want it to be and to determine the skills your staff need to develop to get it there. We then design training that develops those skills you or your staff need to have to stay ahead of the pack in this highly competitive business world. Ask a Riverina Institute Business Development Manager for more information.

Training when, where and how you want it

There was a time when you’d only be able to get your staff trained on someone else’s terms – off site, between 8.30am and 4.30pm on one of your busiest days of the week. And they came away wondering why they wasted their time and your money. You didn’t see much for your investment either.

Not any more - Riverina Institute's customised training gives you what you want, when you need it.

Recognition

You might have heard the terms Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Recognition of Current Competency (RCC) or Recognition of Informal Learning (RIL) – they’re all part of Riverina Institute's recognition program that gives you credit for those things you already know, may have already studied, or are currently competent. This may be formal education, experience in the workplace and with the jobs or work that you do or through life experiences.

Through recognition Riverina Institute can assess your employees' current competencies and skills.  This can fast track your people to a qualification saving both time and money.  The Recognition process also identifies skills gaps where training may be required, leading to a more relevant and competitive workforce for your organisation.
