Community Services, Health and Welfare
Community Services, Health and Welfare encompasses a wide variety of programs aimed at providing students with the skills necessary to meet the growing demand for workers in industries such as aged care, children’s services, nursing and a variety of associated health disciplines.
Our students can train on-the-job, in workplace study groups, through distance education, or in off-the-job work environments at their local campuses, some of which have been set up to replicate real-world child care and nursing settings. Study is complemented by work placements in local industry.
Demand for Graduates
There is strong demand for qualified workers in these areas and Riverina Institute provides the skills demanded by industry with qualifications ranging from Statement of Attainment to Diploma level in certain areas. Graduates are eagerly sought after by both local and national industry.
Riverina Institute provides hands on, realistic training developed in close consultation with the relevant local industries. Training involves a significant amount of practical experience in the workplace, with strong support and guidance.
