General information
All courses listed on this page are all full Spatial Information Systems courses which can be studied over a number of semesters by distance study pathways. They include a Certificate III, Certificate IV and Diploma in Spatial Information Services and a selected studies program which permits the study of individual or a specially customised set of modules.
All of these courses can be studied by distance and do not have a campus attendance requirement. You will, however, need to have access to a suitable computer, with a DVD drive installed. Students are encouraged to submit all enquiries and assigments using the internet/email, so this is also necessary. Students who are located in the Albury / Wodonga region are able to access computing facilities on campus if required. Students wishing to undertake all these levels of courses are assumed to be competent in the use of computers, with Certificate IV and Diploma level studies requiring a high level of computer literacy.
Courses include the use of either ESRI (ArcView or ArcGIS) software or MapInfo. Student licences are available for both platforms if you do not already have access to software.
