Overview

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who are developing a range of art and craft skills in an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural arts context and who take responsibility for own outputs in work and learning.

Practice at this level is underpinned by the application of introductory art theory and cultural history.

Fees & costs

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government, and as a result your fee is determined through Training Services NSW formal eligibility criteria. This criteria will determine your exact fee. Students who meet additional specified criteria, may be eligible for a concession fee or a fee exemption. In claiming the concession or exemption students will be required to supply the required evidence to support the claim in accord with the requirements of Smart and Skilled eligibility.

Students who are eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and/or credit transfer from previous study will have their fee adjusted to reflect this. The amended fee will be confirmed by Training Services NSW and will be reflected in the adjusted Student Fee Statement.

Payment Plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications. Students should refer to the Instalment Plan options for relevant details.

To activate your eligibility you must pay the student fee component PRIOR to commencement of learning activity.
