This course if for those students who have already completed the Accidental counsellor course with TAFE NSW Riverina Institute previously or have had some Basic Counsellor training in this area prior and are now looking to further develop skills in interview techniques for face to face and phone interviews, managing aggressive and abusive clients and dealing with clients who are in crisis or have experienced trauma.
Completing this course will create a pathway into Counselling Skill Set or Certificate IV Community Services.
Opportunity to undertake Counselling Skill Set and/or Cert IV Community Services
Previously completed Accidental Counselling or have had relevant previous training in Basic Counselling Skills
This training is not subsidised by Government funding. There are no fee exemptions, concessions or subsidies available for this course.
TAFE NSW does not accept cash. Payment may be made by Credit Card, EFTPOS, cheque or money order made payable to TAFE NSW.
Cancellations received seven days prior to the commencement of the program are eligible for a full refund. For cancellations within seven days no refunds will apply. Unless otherwise stated TAFE NSW Riverina Institute reserves the right to cancel a course and will endeavour to give participants as much notice as possible. Upon cancellation of a program by Riverina Institute a full refund will be made.
If you would like to transfer to another course, you must give at least seven days’ notice before the course commences.
Minimum Numbers Policy:
Courses are run subject to minimum enrolments. If the campus cancels a course due to low student enrolments, you will be notified and receive a full refund.
