TAFE NSW (Riverina Region) operates three Long Day Care Centres located on campus at Wagga Wagga, Narrandera and Albury. The centres are an approved education and care service under the National Quality Framework (NQF) and cater for children aged from six weeks to school age within a smaller family-like environment.
All parents are eligible to apply for a subsidy under the Commonwealth Government for Child Care Benefit (CCB) and Child Care Rebate (CCR). Some families may also be eligible to apply for Commonwealth Government Job, Education and Training (JET) Child Care Fee Assistance.
We incorporate current philosophies of early childhood education and learning into inclusive programs based on children’s interests and development as individuals. Our programs also involve children in self-directed experiences.
Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and focuses on outcomes for children. All learning is developed in partnership with families to ensure the interests of all are respected and observed.
Every single staff member within our centres takes immense pride in their work and is constantly striving to provide you and your child with high quality care.

Our centres have outdoor play areas where children can develop an appreciation and respect for natural environments that focus on interconnection between people, animals and the land. Also, sustainable practises are incorporated in the daily program and routines, with staff utilising and modelling all aspects – such as recycling, re-purposing, composting, water conservation and energy efficiency.

We build the skills, qualifications and employability of people in regional Australia. This ensures that benefits to graduates include excellent employment prospects, high salaries and improved chances of promotion.
We focus on supporting rural and remote regions to develop skilled professionals locally. Through videoconferencing, online courses and the use of the latest technology, the Institute brings training from the campus to the home or workplace and provides opportunities for more people to study on their own terms.
Our commitment to aligning with industry needs is achieved through the close working relationships that our teaching staff has with industry partners and clients and our strong support for students gaining their qualifications in the workplace.
