What is Painting and Decorating?

Painting and Decorating is the application of paints and decorative finishes to internal and external surfaces in residential and commercial building projects.

Riverina Institute uses qualified and experienced teaching staff to train you in all aspects of the painting and decorating trade, all within its purpose-built painting and decorating facility in Wagga.

Who should study Painting and Decorating?

Those who enjoy practical work and have a good attention to detail will find a career in painting and decorating quite rewarding.

Painters and decorators need to be able to work at heights and be reasonably fit and active. They will also need to determine quantities of materials required for each project by making measurements and calculations and reading plans and specifications.
